Ingredients

cups packed brown sugar
1/3
cup no-trans-fat vegetable oil spread
1/3
cup canola oil
1/2
cup fat-free egg product

teaspoon vanilla

cups Gold Medal® whole wheat flour
1 1/2
cups quick-cooking or old-fashioned oats
1
teaspoon baking powder
1
teaspoon baking soda

cups Total® cereal
1/4
cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, beat brown sugar, vegetable oil spread, oil, egg product and vanilla with electric mixer on low speed until blended. With spoon, stir in flour, oats, baking powder and baking soda until well mixed. Stir in cereal and chocolate chips.
  • 2 On ungreased cookie sheets, drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart.
  • 3 Bake 10 to 13 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets to cooling rack.

Made these for the 1st time and took them to a BBQ had several requests for the receipe. These are excellent and if you are watching you weight and sugar intake they are the best!

i omitted the oil, substituted applesauce for 1/4 of the butter, used fresh cranberries, and added pecans! yummy!

I thought these were quite tasty. Maybe a bit too sweet w/ 2 C B.Sugar. Also, I could not find the Honey Nut Clusters at two different grocery stores and had to substitute a competitors cereal. Does Big G still sell Honey Nut Cluters?
