Expert Tips

Cranberries contain vitamin C that helps build collagen, a component of our connective tissue that holds the body together.

Put the spices in a paper coffee filter and tie it with a piece of kitchen string to make the spices easy to remove from the hot cider.

This stuff is delicious! I love the smell and the taste of it. It's really easy to do in a slower cooker, too.

I chose this recipe because it was super easy and, I, well, love apple cider. The allspice and cinnamon added a nice little zing to the recipe, and helped the room smell just like Thanksgiving. Definitely follow the tip above - tie the spices in a coffee filter to avoid floating spices and to make clean-up a breeze.

However, I would NEVER use the cocktail with all its High fructose corn syrup as HEALTHY! I use a pure cranberry juice that is organic also. As sweetener, I use Honey, a little brown sugar then mostly stevia (a zero calorie natural sweetener).
