Ingredients

cups Green Giant® frozen cut green beans
1
cup thinly sliced carrots
2
green onions, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1/2
cup water
1
teaspoon sugar
1/4
teaspoon salt
1/4
teaspoon dried thyme leaves, crushed
1/3
cup apple juice
1
teaspoon cornstarch
1/2
cup cubed unpeeled red apple

Directions

  • 1 In 3-quart saucepan, mix green beans, carrots, onions, water, sugar, salt and thyme. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are crisp-tender.
  • 2 In small bowl, mix apple juice and cornstarch until well blended. Stir cornstarch mixture into cooked vegetables. Stir in apple. Increase heat; cook and stir 1 to 2 minutes or until sauce is bubbly and thickened.
