Ingredients

teaspoon grated lime peel
1/4
teaspoon ground cumin
1/4
teaspoon dried oregano leaves

teaspoon salt

tablespoons olive or canola oil

tablespoons lime juice

cloves garlic, finely chopped
1
lb uncooked large shrimp, peeled (with tail shells left on), deveined
1
cup uncooked orzo or rosamarina pasta (6 oz)

Directions

  • 1 Heat gas or charcoal grill. In medium bowl, mix all ingredients except shrimp and pasta. Add shrimp; toss to coat. Let stand at room temperature 10 minutes to marinate.
  • 2 Meanwhile, cook pasta as directed on package.
  • 3 Remove shrimp from marinade; thread loosely onto 4 (12- to 14-inch) metal skewers. Reserve marinade.
  • 4 Place skewered shrimp on grill over medium heat. Cover grill. Cook 3 to 7 minutes, turning once and brushing occasionally with reserved marinade, until shrimp turn pink. Discard any remaining marinade. Drain pasta; serve with kabobs.
